Circular Food Series 1: Before you Cook: Save Food, Save Money

November 13 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm AEDT

Join Frankston City Council and sustainability educator, Anna The Urban Nanna, and learn about all the simple ways you can reduce food waste and save money in your kitchen.

We hear a lot these days about ‘low-waste living’, but it’s often part of a marketing plan to sell you something. It’s possible to move towards a low-waste kitchen without
buying more stuff, and in fact, the actions with the biggest positive impact involve buying less than you currently do!
In this free presentation, you will learn lots of simple ways you can reduce your kitchen waste, including meal planning and storage ideas; ways to make the most of foods that you buy or grow; recipe ideas for transforming leftovers and scraps; and a variety of different ways to keep food waste out of landfill.
Included in your registration is a follow-up document with speaking notes, a list of useful resources, and links to various waste-fighting recipes and articles.
